Hot Springs Village has been described as "a community of lakes surrounded by land". There are eight recreational lakes, with three additional recreational lakes currently in development or under construction.
The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission monitor and stock the lakes with bass, crappie, catfish and more. There are two marinas that rent pontoon, fishing boats, and canoes. They have fishing equipment, bait and fishing licenses.
There are two beaches and two pavilions which are used for family reunions, picnics, barbecues, and other social gatherings.
